The Honorable Heidi Shyu Named Roboteam's New Chairman of Board

GAITHERSBURG, Md – Roboteam, Inc., the leading global provider of tactical ground robotic systems and controllers for Defense, Law Enforcement and Public Safety missions, today announced the appointment of The Honorable Heidi Shyu as the new Chairman of the Board. In her new position, Ms. Shyu will lead the strategic operations for growing Roboteam’s unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) business and continue to build upon their outstanding global reputation.

Having most recently served as the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology, as well as an advisory board member at Roboteam – Ms. Shyu will use her new position to maintain Roboteam’s agility and customer centric focus while mentoring the management team and nurturing the company’s reputation for innovation and dependability.

In her public career, Ms. Shyu served for four years as a Presidential-nominated and Senate-confirmed senior DoD executive, overseeing over 42,000 Army acquisition professionals, and managed twelve Program Executive Offices. In addition, Ms. Shyu held leadership positions within Raytheon Company’s Space and Airborne Systems business unit. Previously she worked in management roles at Litton Industries, Grumman Corporation and Hughes Aircraft Company. She is also currently a board member of the Carnegie Mellon University, Advanced Robotics Manufacturing Institute.
